What is posq?

posq is a modern restaurant point-of-sale platform. It combines a fast iPad POS app, a web admin portal for menus, staff and reporting, and a secure cloud API that keeps every device and location in sync.

Which devices do I need?

The posq POS runs on iPad. You manage your menu, team and reports from any modern web browser on desktop or laptop. You will also need a stable internet connection and, for card payments, a supported payment terminal or processor.

Does posq work if my internet drops?

The iPad POS is designed to tolerate brief network interruptions so you can keep taking orders during a momentary outage. Data syncs back to the cloud once the connection is restored. A reliable connection is still recommended for payments and reporting.

How does VAT and fiscalization work?

posq calculates VAT per item and per country in exact minor units, so totals reconcile precisely, with country-specific fiscalization built into the platform.

How are payments handled?

Card payments are processed by certified, PCI-DSS compliant payment providers. posq never stores full card numbers — we only keep limited transaction metadata such as the amount, status and last digits for your records.

Is posq GDPR-compliant?

Yes. posq is built with privacy by design and EU data residency. We document lawful bases, support data-subject rights such as access and erasure, and maintain a transparent sub-processor list. See our Privacy Policy for full detail.

Can I run multiple locations?

Yes. You can manage one venue or a whole group from a single account, with centralised menus and reporting and per-location settings.

How do I manage staff access?

Granular roles and permissions let you give owners, managers and staff exactly the access they need — keeping sensitive actions like voids, refunds and reports in the right hands.

Which countries does posq support?

posq is a multi-country platform with per-country VAT and fiscalization built in. Get in touch and we will confirm availability for your region.

How do I export my data?

Your order, transaction and reporting data is available from the web portal, and you can request a full export. For data-subject requests under GDPR, contact privacy@posq.app.

How to get help

To help us resolve your issue quickly, please include:

  • your business / account name and location;
  • the device and app version (for POS issues, the iPad app version);
  • a clear description of what happened and what you expected;
  • the approximate date and time, and any order or receipt reference;
  • a screenshot or photo, if relevant.
